Who/What is CARM.? - CARM is several people who help keep it running.
Why this site? - To equip Christians with the truth, to expose the error of false religious systems, evolution, to teach apologetics, help Christians defend the faith, and to glorify the Lord Jesus.
When did it begin? - October of 1995.
Who started CARM? - Matt Slick
Who comes to CARM? - Everybody from everywhere. CARM has had inquires from every continent, island groups (large and small) from all over the word.
Has my website brought anyone out of a cult? - Praise God, YES!. We've been told that CARM has helped people leave cults as well as prevent many from joining. The CARM material has been used to structure Bible studies, Sunday School Classes, emails, tracts, etc. All for the Lord Jesus' glory.
Email - CARM gets about 50 emails a day - not counting spam.
Page Views - A page view is when someone looks at a page. CARM's main page has a hit counter. So far, CARM averages more than 30,000 weekly page views on the home page. In 2007 CARM received 13.2 million page views on the entire site.
Attacks and hacks -
Matt Slick has received several death threats, threats against his
family, as well as promises to destroy CARM. Also, various
"discontented" individuals and/or groups have tried to hack into CARM
and I also have received a ton of spam email designed to overload the email system.
CARM is still standing, praise
God. And, as far as the email spam goes, it is very easy to get
around with software so it isn't any bother.
